»At the beginning of the 1970s, I developed my first independent work in Italy, mainly in Florence: I removed wall plaster, skinned masonry, took architectural elements out of their context and planted them in new, tense architectural relationships.
After ten years, I went back to the old workplaces and from this »re-encounter« I formulated another work that turned out to be quite unexpected for me and was given the title »A Ten Years’ Afterplay«.«
