Hans Kienesberger
Hebebilder / Reflexbilder
Hans Kienesberger sees himself as a painter and photography is only one of his various fields of work. The graphic pictorial intervention is clearly visible in his works. Thematically, he is interested in his surroundings and documents and comments on the various influences. He calls the first series of photographs that can be seen in this exhibition »Hebebilder« and »Reflexbilder«. In terms of their formal design, these are primarily tableau-like photographs, some of which have been graphically altered and reworked. Conversely, his photographic working method of serial arrangement is continued in his graphics; there is thus a reciprocal influence of photography and painting.
