Madame d’Ora: “A genius of good taste” On the collection of photographer Dora Kallmus (1881–1963)
Dora Kallmus is considered one of the most important photographers of the early 20th century. Her Vienna studio was frequented by prominent figures from the aristocracy, art world, and society. The Upper Austrian state collection encompasses works from all phases of her career – from portrait and fashion photographs of Vienna from 1907 onwards and of Paris during the interwar period, to her slaughterhouse photographs after 1945.
