Inge Morath in Aosta

Inge Morath (Graz 1923 – New York 2002) was the first woman to work for the famous Magnum agency. As she herself explained: “Photography is essentially a personal matter: the search for an inner truth”.
Using more than 150 images and original documents, the exhibition traces Inge Morath’s human and professional journey, from her beginnings alongside Ernst Haas and Henri Cartier-Bresson, through her collaboration with renowned magazines such as Picture, Life, Paris Match, Saturday Evening, Post and Vogue, to her major travel reports.
A new exhibition project, realized by Suazes in collaboration with FOTOHOF and Magnum and curated by Brigitte Blüml-Kaindl, Kurt Kaindl and Daria Jorioz, will allow the public to appreciate the sensitivity of this author and to discover, for the first time in Italy, parts of her work that have never been exhibited here before.
