As the last major exhibition of the jubilee year, the FOTOHOF in cooperation with Suazes will show photographs by Inge Morath in Caraglio, Piedmont.

“The profound and never conventional look at the reality of a woman who is one of the most important photographers of the 20th century leads the monographic exhibition “Inge Morath. L’occhio e l’anima” (The Eye and the Soul), which celebrates the centenary of the birth of the first female photojournalist of the Magnum Photos agency from 19 October to 25 February at the Filatoio di Caraglio and brings more than 200 of her works into the rooms of the historic factory, where for centuries only women worked in the silk spinning mill.

Inge Morath’s very subjectively assembled exhibition is promoted and organised by Fondazione Artea and Regione Piemonte in collaboration with Suazes, Fotohof, Magnum Photos and the Municipality of Caraglio, and realised with the support of Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo and the contribution of Fondazione CRC and Fondazione CRT.”
