ECB Annual Photography Award 2006

Austria Today was the title of the Annual Photography Award organised by the European Central Bank (ECB) in Austria in 2006. The publication provides an overview of the current creative output in fine art photography in Austria, with a compilation of the best works submitted and the three award winners Tatiana Lecomte, Gerlinde Miesenböck and Paul Kranzler. The publication features photographs that focus on “Austria”, its moods, atmospheres and personal memories, people, situations and landscapes, as well as clichés and prejudices. Through the photographs Austria is described, documented, manipulated and investigated. The nature of all things Austrian is analysed, staged and deconstructed. (Martin Hochleitner)
