The publication documents the two collections of Hans Frank and of Gerda and Erich Walter, two significant examples of Austrian photography to be found in the museum collection of Vienna’s Landesgalerie. The book with essays by Jasmin Haselsteiner and Martin Hochleitner is specifically dedicated to the particular profiles of the two collections. Frank used the history of photography as his approach. Erich Walter was interested first and foremost in how contemporary art uses photography.
