In F-Phil-Joe, Gerald Domenig reflects on the making of his exhibition at FOTOHOF, which he showed together with Andrea Witzmann in the summer of 2023. »Domenig now presents half of their story in this booklet, as well as three or four photographs that he missed in the exhibition. »F-Phil-Joe« is neither a catalog nor an artist’s book, it is a piece of the puzzle. For all those who didn’t see the exhibition, GD has included the terrible photograph of Gstättentor on page 31, which was the only color photo (fine art print) in the so-called Full Wall A (Architecture) at the beginning of the top row in the exhibition and was probably somewhat lost in it, at least not really shining. In the booklet it now shines as if it were the Festspielhaus on a Sunday. Page 71 shows a photograph taken in 1994 in a former mine in Heft bei Hüttenberg in Carinthia. If you can, please go there occasionally and take some comparison photos. At the end (pp. 78/79) we find ourselves back in Salzburg, on the edge of the square where »Jedermann« is being performed, and suddenly it becomes clear that from the first to the last page everything is just theater.« (Gerald Domenig)
