Stefanie Moshammer in Pordenone, Italy
The photo exhibition “Grandmother said it’s ok” by Austrian photographer Stefanie Moshammer, which can be seen both at the Die Gelbe Wand gallery in the MCP – Mercati Culturali Pordenone and at the Museo Civico d’Arte Ricchieri.
In “Grandmother said it’s ok,” the author explores the themes of family memories, identity, and everyday rituals through a collection of photographs, objects, and stories related to her grandparents from the Mühlviertel region of Upper Austria. Using archive images, found objects, and life stories, she reconstructs memories and everyday gestures through visual metaphors that reflect on age, domestic rituals, and the transience of existence. The result is a portrait of a life characterized by simplicity, creativity, and a respectful use of resources.
