Sabine Bitter, Helmut Weber - Right, to the city

Right, to the city

 25,00

The possibilities and the potential for new forms and relations between resident populations and their city and state are made visible here using concrete examples and initiatives in cities such as Belgrade, Vancouver, Paris, Bucharest and Caracas, thus contradicting the circulating rhetoric of the crisis and failure of political and social utopias. In their analytical and research-based artistic practice the artists, who have been working together since 1993, examine all manner of geographic and socio-political contexts to track the processes of change and the impact of modernisation and globalisation on cities, their architecture and the creation of urban spaces.

This publication, which coincided with the exhibition at the Landesgalerie Linz, provides the most extensive insight so far into the artistic work of Sabine Bitter and Helmut Weber. It also conveys the significance of photography in their work.
