Franz Gottfried – Newly Discovered
In the 1930s and 1940s, the farmer Franz Göttfried from St. Lambrecht took a fascinating series of photographs with portraits of people from his region, reminiscent of August Sander. Before this exhibition from FOTOHOF>ARCHIVE is shown at the Johanneum in Graz, there will be an opportunity to see these pictures and the history of their discovery. This will be followed by a tour of the archive and its working methods.

Travelling Female Photographers
The occasion for this presentation is the publication of the exhibition catalog “Fotografinnen auf Reisen: The Photographic Work of Gerti Deutsch, Inge Morath and Edith Tudor-Hart”. FOTOHOF has contributed to this and presents pictures and documents of the photographers, which are collected in the archive. The event provides an insight into the working conditions of female photographers from the 1930s to the 1970s.
